Born in the state of Sao Paulo on September 26th of 1967, Luciano Alheiros was transferred early to the Northeast
of Brazil better known as Recife. There he started his early career playing futsal, known in the US but referred as Indoor
soccer. Luciano also played in various teams in the Northeast region of Brazil. After he finished his professional career
as a player, he took many coaching courses including indoor and outdoor soccer for kids (boys and girls) starting from the
age of 2. Luciano has competed in many educational, amateur, and official tournaments (including boys and girls) in the Northeast
region of Brazil.
Luciano has been given authority from the Federal Council of Physical Education of Brazil to teach in schools as well
as soccer clubs. Luciano today totals nothing less than 19 (1st place) championship titles from amateur, professional,
masculine, feminine, indoor and outdoor teams.
In 2001 Luciano moved to the
United States where he began voluntarily coaching at churches. In 2006 Luciano had the brilliant idea of starting his own
soccer team, school, or club. Hence Brazil Soccer Academy was founded, one of the best structured soccer academies in South
Florida. Luciano also has many amateur 1st place championships in the United States. Today besides having his own
academy, Luciano also coaches one of the biggest amateur team of South Florida known as Lusitanos Soccer Club. Next year Lusitanos
will be competing the state championship of Florida.
